I suck at blogging... get ready for a picture overload

Alright... It's been over a year since I have touched this thing! I don't know why I am so bad at it because I love reading other blogs. I guess I just can't keep up on my own. It would be really hard to talk about everything that has happened in the past year and a half, so I'll try to just highlight some of the fun stuff we have done through pictures :)

I guess I could give an update of what our life is like right now. Right now, I am finishing up my masters degree and will hopefully graduate in June. I have to finish a thesis and a few more classes until I am done. I am also doing an internship at an elementary school which is really fun. BUT... I loved my internship at the hospital so much that I am hoping to find a job in that type of setting once I graduate. Sam is still working his butt of with a few different jobs and has started the marketing program. He is going to minor in information technology so he has a few more years left until he graduates. He has also been called to be in the bishopric in our ward. He is really busy and we don't see much of each other, but we love this stage of life.

Holiday Lovin

We had the best week away for Thanksgiving! We were able to spend all week at the Benton's house, ate until we got sick (literally) and slept in until noon everyday. It was so nice to get a few days off of school and spend time with our families. I wish we had more pictures of our cute niece and nephews. We had a blast playing with them and wish we could see them more often.

Then, we came home and got right back into school. But before we did that, we put up our new Christmas tree (Thanks to Sammy's sister Callie) and pretended like finals were already over and it was Christmas break. That didn't last very long because we knew school was coming.... only three more weeks!

Cold Blooded Murder

Halloween isn't my favorite holiday.... dressing up can be fun, but I don't care too much for the crazy dance
parties and the crazy people running around half naked. BUT, this Halloween was by far the best. My bestest friend Sanood threw us a little murder mystery party. We all dressed up as the characters in the movie Clue! I went as Ms. Scarlet and Sam was Mr. Green. Sanood even had all the necessary murder weapons. :)

For dinner, we decided Asian themed food would be best. We had yummy pocket filled goodness from Shawna, a delicious Asian salad from Crystel, I brought coconut mango rice, and Sarah contributed something else with an Asian name that was really good. After eating, we got out the murder mystery game and received our character names. I was Lizzie... who we also found out was the mother of the witch, the fiance of the dead man, and was in lots of debt to the undead mafia. Sam was assigned Hannibal Schector.... also a vegetarian cannibal who we found out to be a warewolf, the brother of the dead man, and that he was in the organ selling business on e-bain. Hannibal turned out the be the murderer!!!  We had a great night with our friends! Can't wait to do another murder mystery someday... and eat more mango coconut rice :)

Marriage = Blogging

So there is this rumor going around that once you get married, you need to get a blog. I decided to join in so that family could see what we are doing down here in Provo. However, I am not a very witty person so I will try to make this as interesting as possible :)

Sam and I were married just over two months ago! Don't worry.... we still like each other. It has been fun getting to know little quirks about the other that we didn't know before. Sam has now fully experienced my sleep talking. One night, he opened his eyes to see me sitting straight up in bed laughing hysterically at who knows what! Every once in awhile he will wake me up to tell me that I am talking and we usually giggle for a second and fall back asleep. Sam might kill me when he reads this, but I think it's only fair that I share some fun things about him! Sam is a really good singer and he sounds even better in the shower. I have also learned that Sam is a really really good dancer. I don't know how it took so long for me to figure it out, but nothing can make me laugh more than his random dancing and singing outbursts. I will be sitting in the kitchen or living room and here comes Sam.... waving his arms up in the air and singing some song he just made up on the spot.

Right now, Sam is taking lots of classes, and working two jobs. I just started my graduate program in Speech Pathology and am working as a teaching assistant for one of the professors. As you can see, we are both really busy. We don't get to see each other as often as we would like, but we make the most of it when we do. I feel so blessed to have Sam forever. I feel like all we do is love each other and make each other laugh. What could be better than that? Since we don't have a lot of extra money to do crazy things, we have been spending a lot of time going to BYU football games. I promise I will try to be better at taking pictures so that I can update everybody on other fun things we do :)
